BFPF baby stubborn as a mule!

Post by L in Ontario » Sun Aug 01, 2010 10:33 pm

The second Blue-faced Parrot Finch baby was lonely and squawked incessantly all day long today. He is stubborn to the extreme. He apparently doesn't understand English - I told him to stay put... the last pic is about 3 seconds after I put him back in.

Typical parrot finches. They have a mind of their own and that is probably why we like them so much. So cute. It looks like you are being scolded.

I only ever had success getting early fledglings back in the nest at roosting time in the eve. Only time that they stayed put!

They have too much to do to spend time sitting in a nest.

For some reason the pics remind me of the famous kids book, "Are You My Mama?"
