Nest sleepers?
Please remind me who prefers to sleep in a nest at night? Which finches?

Re: Nest sleepers?
I can only contribute by adding from my own experience, which of my finches prefer sleeping in a nest at night:
Bengalese
Zebra
Owl/Bechino
Red Headed Parrot Finches (although I find they do this only once they have a chosen breeding site. Mine sleep with all the youngsters and odd hens in a big nest, but loose males roost in the shrubbery outside)
I am sure others will be able to add the the list.

Re: Nest sleepers?
My bronze-winged mannikins do, and my white-head nun used to sleep in an open nest with one of my spice finches, so it may be safe to say generally that lonchura like nests at night. One of my lavender pairs also likes their nest at night.
