Familiar with F.M. Brown's seed mixes

Post by carmena » Sun Aug 08, 2010 8:33 pm

Does anyone have any experience with R.M Brown's seed mixes?
There are several different "blends" that I can get at a great price and wanted to know if any where worth it. 25 pounds of seed is a lot and I would hate to get stuck with junk that is moldy, full of junk pellets or whatever.
They have several blends
"natural"
"nutrition plus"
"traditional"
"encore premium"
"zoo vital"
and a "Browns Golden Millet spray"

I give my finches Zupreem pellets so I hate the pellets they fill up these seed mixes with. My birds don't touch those and they take up a ton of weight. I feel like I end up paying for junk.
They also have a "WILD BIRD TREAT TUB OF FIXINS MEALWORMS 7OZ." My parrots eat the can o'worms with gusto but not sure if these are the dried out ones or juicy like the can o'worms.
Anyone with experience on this product???

Is their website. They are a manufacturer, not a retailer.

It seems to me they are for the hook bills more than finches
