Nesting box recommendation

Post by Lauravdm » Thu Sep 23, 2010 2:05 am

Hey all

Just need some advice on what I should buy for my nesting boxes, I am just putting in the last touches before I go get my birds :o

Also anything I else you could recommend to put in an outside Aviary would be a great help!!!

Try some of these

A box that you can mount outside the cage, so that you can access the nest from outside the cage is best.

Most any type will do, and for a mixed collection I generally recommend supplying a variety of different styles so the birds have a selection to choose from.

Here is another option.

Make the nest box out of a milk carton.

Best of all it is free, except for your time to make it.
If and when it gets real dirty from poop, you just throw it away and make a new one.

The good thing about a milk carton is the paper is coated w plastic, so it won't warp like uncoated cardboard will.
