Very ingenious! I remember someone on here once took a tall rectangular cage and laid it on its side to make a long horizontal cage. It looks like you have paper laid on the bottom, does that work to keep in the mess?

Nice looking cage, just wondering how you clean it out? It would be good to drape a bit more cover over it as crimson seedcrackers do like a bit of privacy. You guys are so lucky to still be able to get them over there, make the most of it.

I did that. Mine was placed on a 6 foot folding table. I had a hard time cleaning the seeds that accumulated underneath the paper on the bottom (especially when they were nesting)... I had to physically move the whole cage. John's looks much more managable, especially since it has a support at each end, freeing up the center allowing any errant debris to pass thru. Nice job, John.

That is so cute. It looks like they are saying to each other, "Don't move and he'll go away". =D>

Awesome idea! =D>

Those birds are gorgeous - I've seen them in person with Floyd and their red is just so vibrant! It reminds me of the purple on Grens (plugged in to electric) look :)

Just try to take a picture of them and they will start zipping around. That's at least what my birds do when I try to take pictures...
