Silver gouldian inheritance

All 7 babies have been out from the nest for a couple of days now and indeed 3 babies are silver. Can't wait to see the chicks of the next nest wishing to get some silvers.
The green backed father must be split to blue because he has an intense blue around his neck and above his tail feathers. Now that I saw him I can tell the difference from a bird that ias not split to blue I beleive.

If my memory is correct you have a RH.LB.Nb male ans YH.WB.Yb hen.
If you have white chicks then you know both parents are split to blue. All the white chicks will be males. Because of the lilac breasts a SFYellowBlue bird will visually be white and not blue like it would if it had a purple breast. You could also have males that are SFYellow and because of the lilac breast they will be visually yellow and not green like a purple breast would be.
There is no visual way to tell a split to blue bird. Those blue markings are perfectly normal on a normal.

As far as the male that I said that he has more blue than usual, I read somewhere here that sometimes split birds have more blue on them. Maybe that's not true, I don't know.

White and/or silver are the same thing they are genetically a YellowBlue or Pastel Blue depending on where your from. "silver" is just a term us Americans use for a white bird.

thanks. Here we refer to silver when a bird is grey to white, like silver and a white is a totally white bird which i beleive is extremely rare to get.
