£20 per pair!! I wouldnt be worried about the colours washing off, I would be more worried about them being wild caught at that price, they sure look like it!
Are they 'close rung', and with the correct sized rings if so? and make sure you are licensed to keep them, they are a native finch to here, not a foreign bird like most.

Id agree with you there awhile back in Dublin the usual Canary Market on a Sunday was raided by the gardai and They seized alot of wild caught Goldfinch and Greenfinch.

Yes they are closed rung,i checked and also the auction i got them from only allow native birds from trusted sellers
