Breeding cages

Post by Ratrodfink » Fri Jan 21, 2011 4:04 am

I was wondering if 30x18x18 cages make adequate breeder cages for most finch species. I was looking into buying a number of cages that size and wanted to make sure that they would be a good choice for breeding. I have several larger cages to use for resting and would use those when needed.

30 in breeding cages are perfect. What kind of finches do you have?

30x18x18 is good for most but it's really going to depend on the finch. What were you thinking about breeding?

Right now it would be Gouldians and Owls with Red Bishops and Cuban Melodious soon to follow.

If you get divided cages it will make catching the birds much easier....I am so glad I bought the divided cages....
