There are a lot of great articles on that site
other good sites for finch info include:
http://cliftonfinchaviaries.org/index.html
http://www.finchsociety.org/
http://www.qfs.org.au/
Addicted to Finches, yes I do admit it.
I pray they never find a cure.

Well my pair has been busy today working on a nest. =D> Not gonna get too excited , but it sure has been fun watching them.
He is going into another nest and stealing materials and taking them over to the nest of his choice. I have materials available, but apparently he wants what is in this nest.

That will be really special if you can get them to breed, Donna. We'll be waiting for updates.

Is that a society looking on at the theft? LOL it does not seem impressed that its cozy bed is being removed piece by piece.

I hope you have great success with your painteds.

No, that is a cream shaftail. That nest is not being used by anyone at the moment, but he is only stealing available materials.
