I agree completely with Sally! When I first married my husband, I went crazy trying to learn about finches. The first thing I did was replace his cages with larger cages, but at the time, it wasn't so much about having more room for the birds, it was about creating a peaceful cat-bird friendly home! We've all started out as beginners!

Also, I should add - I may not like the Vision cages, I may find them hard to keep clean, I may not like the look of them, I may find that they brake and fall apart easily, - but that is me, and what doesn't work for me, may very well work for someone else. I have black and blue cages for my birds, some may think there're an eye-sore.

Ha ha!

Thanks everyone.
Well I have some news, my two finches went nuts with that string stuff and built an awesome nest and are now sitting on two eggs! holy fast!

Is there anything I can do to help them along? do you think they may have more eggs than just two yet?

Congrats on the eggs--yes, they likely will lay a few more. You don't have to do anything except provide the proper nutrition for the babies. Eggfood, either homemade or commercial, will give them the protein they need to feed those babies. I'd start offering eggfood now, so the parents are used to it by the time the eggs hatch.
