It is so hard to say how many finches will fit without knowing the species. I have the dividable version of this cage--if you get it, the perches that come with it run the wrong way, side to side. Put some small cut branches on each end, that leaves them room to fly back and forth. It is a good size for a breeding pair of many species of finches. It is the cage used in a local pet shop. One cage usually has at least 6 Societies, and they seem to do fine. The other cage has at least 6 Zebras, and there is lots of feather plucking. So what kind of finches, and how many are you wanting?

I agree with Sally... it completely depends on the species you are wanting to put in it. You could easily put 6-8 societies in there or 6 gouldians, or even 6 spices.... but, they won't have as happy of an environment. That cage is what $42.99.....

Well for about $86.96 more you can get this cage:

Yes, I know $87 more is a lot..... but, this cage is much bigger and I know your finches would be happier in it. Or you could buy 3 of the ones from petsmart for the same place, but then you just have even more cages to clean :(

You should really check out www.qualitydiscountcages.com and browse through because they really do have great cages and it's free shipping. I have personally purchased two cages from their website.

I think the same cage is $119 at http://tinyurl.com/23cflk which includes shipping. From Windy City Parrot. It is a nice cage - I have it.
