New Digs...for now
My Zebras are housed in a nice flight cage(30x18) , which they love , but I wanted bigger !!!.....would like to build something but it has to wait till the budget re adjusts, so when my neighbor came over offering me an old cage , I just put 2 & 2 together...and also added a fountain.

Re: New Digs...for now
Thanks , I remember reading on this site where somebody did that....it does take some time but they are enjoying all the room. With all the space ,I'm considering adding another pair. They also are enjoying the fountain...but now I wonder how safe it is...any thoughts ?

Very nice!!! The fountain should be fine as long as there are no deep parts. Just be sure to clean it and put in fresh water every day.

Re: New Digs...for now
Been thinking of getting a cage with similar dimensions just wondering do they use the space or do they mostly stay at the top area of the cage? I have read alot where they say you dont need the height of the cage to be tall.... but always thought the extra space would be nice.

Re: New Digs...for now
They enjoyed the regular flight cage flying back & forth but when I put the 2 together they really seem to love it. They've been doing half circles in the cage flying from bottom to top. At times they hover almost like hummngbirds....its quite comical. They do prefer to roost at the top at night but overall enjoy the whole cage. Right now I only have 1 pr of Zebras in there....wouldn't add anything more than maybe 1 more pair but not sure if I want to crowd them.

that is what I was hoping you would say, because I had always thought the more space the betterflygirl wrote:They enjoyed the regular flight cage flying back & forth but when I put the 2 together they really seem to love it.
