Can anybody tell me how I can encourage my Gouldians to go into the bird baths I provide them with, it has been weeks and weeks now and they will still not go into them, I have tried sprinkling a tiny bit of seed in the water but I just cannot get them to go into the bath
Advise please
Ray

Perhaps that set up may be rather intimidating to them at first. They could view that as a type of trap and my be hesitant. No real quick get away.
Could you place out a shallow pot saucer in their cage to entice them to bath. Once they do it regularly you can try the cage bath again and they may be more comfortable using it.
In the mean time use the bath as a treats and seed tray. Just to get them interested and confident in the contraption attached to their cage and to assure them its not a trap.
Birds can be funny once they get a notion in their heads. Just persevere with the bath. They will eventually come around.

My birds will only go into a shallow dish to bathe. I use the plastic saucer that you use under a flower pot. It's rough enough so they don't slip all over too. And they come in all different sizes to suit your need.

Re: Gouldians bathing
I would also try a dish on the floor. Sometimes when i refill my water tubes for my gouldians they will try and bathe in them ,so i just throw in the dish and they get splashing
