I do, and they are great!!!! Very interesting birds. And the have a lot of character. It's also possible that I have become more attached to my quails than my other birds.

I did for a very very short time. They ate more mealworms than the finches even right out of their mouths and harassed the finches on the floor. The amount they poop is more than the seed they cleaned up plus they dropped eggs everywhere. They attacked and beat up my diamond doves if they ever landed on the floor. That sent the doves frantically flying and that scared the finches. No more doves or quail for me.

I have button quail in my indoor aviary and I love them! They are not harrassing anybody, they get along great with my finches and budgies. Maybe it depends on the size of the aviary? Mine is an 11 by 11 foot sunroom, so there's plenty of room for all of them.

I couldn't imagine my aviary without them!
Walk-in aviary with Waxbills (6 Cordon Bleu, 3 Orange Cheek, 3 Black-rumped, 1 Lavender, ), 1 European Goldfinch, 4 Gouldians, 2 Spice Finches, 6 Owl Finches, 4 Budgies and 2 male Button Quail.
I also have 2 parrotlets, 3 dogs, 1 snake and 3 freshwater fishtanks.

hi
i have had button quail, yes they do eat a lot of mealworms ,but you can always give them chick starter crumbs aswell as the stuff they already get.they do lay eggs all over ,but sometimes when they find a nice spot to make a nest thier chicks are adorable rather like bumble bees with legs and a beak...this i might add always happens when you least expect it,so if you do think they are incubating make sure you inspect the floor of the aviary really well before you go walking about, because when they are born they can walk straight away and they are only as big as a cheesey puff   i may also add that i never once saw them attack anything in my aviary apart from each other when they where mating .the male can be pretty rough on the female when they fancy each other(i think they call it tough love)

ken
you can always tell a yorkshireman, but you cant tell him much
