If I don't mix anything into my eggfood then they don't eat it.

I put different herbs/spices in mine along with greens sometimes - like the stalk of the broccoli pieces and that other lettuce/broccoli I can’t remember the name!

I will do that since they can’t / won’t eat them anyway in that stalk form. And, that is where most of the nutrition is anyway.

I don’t use any nuts in my eggfood – but will use different select seeds in it.

Ahh now THAT's a little easier to accept. =D>

And I see you have a 7' Redtailed Boa - so many people on here have reptiles! Do post pics of it when you can!

That's hilarious! I went back and read it and saw how it was misinterpreted.

I was thinking, wow, nut SHELLS? Those are some tough birds! :D

I currently feed my birds grated hard boiled eggs with crushed bee pollen and chlorella mixed throughout, I also scrape some cuttle bone over it. And to "spice it up" I may add some hemp seeds, bloodworms or meal worms. Simple, nutritious and the birds like it :)

However I hope to switch them over to the following "eggless" mix:
Cooked or Sprouted Quinoa (whichever they prefer) with some chia seeds, mixed with crushed bee pollen and chlorella.

The reason for the switch is because my boyfriend hated the smell of eggs, lol cant say I blame him they are pretty stinky. Regardless, I'm hoping they will like the new mix because it will offer more protein compared to the egg mix.

If anyone is interested in comparing nutritional facts: Chia Seeds, Quinoa, Egg (set the serving sizes to 100g for easy comparison)

Also for those of you that are looking for a alternative to cornmeal in your eggfood mix may want to consider Quinoa flour...
