Donna....I am so late to this tread about Mario. I am very sorry to hear that after all you did he passed away. He truly was your one special bird. I will be thinking of you today and I hope you will be able to remember Mario with happy memories once the sadness is past. (((Hugs to You)))

Oh, Donna, what a shock to read this! I can't tell you how sorry I am that you lost Mario--what a sad day for you, and for all of us. He was one of those special birds that everyone could relate to. I will be thinking of you today as you grieve for your special little boy.

I am so sorry. The very worse part of our hobby is days like these.
Mario will never be forgotten and was a great mascot for the gouldians everywhere.

Thanks everyone for your kind words and thoughts. It is amazing how some of these birds touch us. Mario will always be remembered as my special little feathered friend and I am going to miss him for a long, long time.

Donna :( I'm utterly shocked and so sad to hear this. I'm so sorry you lost the apple of your eye. I agree with everyone that Mario was a very special gouldian, and probably the most renowned finch on the entire forum. It's such a shame to see him go. :(

My most sincere condolences. :( I was really really hoping the special lad would pull through. I know the feeling of finding a lifeless body - there's no words to express the feeling. It's like your heart just drops to your knees. I think Mario just had a clutch with his mate recently? At least he left you with some of his DNA. You should try keeping his offspring and seeing if any of his beautiful color come out in the next generation. I'm so sorry, my heart really aches for you. There's disagreements as to whether or not animals go to heaven, but if they do, I'm sure Mario is right up there, smiling down on you with gratitude for the time he spent with you.
God is my redeemer and it is through Him I have found eternal happiness. I am grateful, I am blessed, and I am truly loved. I wish all this and more for all members of our finch forum family. May you all be blessed and highly favored. <3
