thanks Janine... they sure are and excited to see them join the others in the flight... wasnt able to take pictures of the one which i posted much much earlier as i cant make him still for a shot. He flies all over the flight cage and hides on the artificial plants. Maybe soon when i get to have a good camera..

on the left was the baby owl finch i posted before together with the crested zebra finch baby. she is still on her moulting stage to adulthood.

Hey Anna, could you be kind to attach an owl finch fawn pix on this thread? I've never seen one and would like to see how'd it look like. Does normals produce also fawns?

Well sure, Finchman. I'll take a new picture sometime soon and attach it here.

No, normals will not produce fawns. You have to have either a fawn father (for immediate fawn babies) or a fawn hen that will produce normal/fawn. (Then you breed one of the normal/fawn babies to a fawn male and can get fawns).

Wow, they're amazingly beautiful!! i cant wait to breed my owls next year..they are my favorite species. :)

Just wanted to add, that if the male is /fawn ..fawn babies are also possible.
