Just like to share with everyone.
This is the type of nest box I have always used for my gouldians.
Easy to clean plastic, comes apart with out a problem
and is very dark as goulds like.
Has two sliding doors, one clear and one dark.
A removable tray inside that ovaled, so they eggs don't move around.
Also in the back has venting for fresh air,
so the babies don't over heat.
Has anyone else tried it?

I was going to order one, but then I could not figure how to put a nestcam on it, so I went with my milk carton nest box.

I've never seen them before, they sure look nice!
Why couldn't you put a nest cam out the side Gary? Especially if there is a clear door like the picture shows?

I have these and love the viewing window....however. my birds always build the nest up so that I cannot see into the viewing window... all I see is coco fiber
These nest are great for some birds that donot like their nest messed with though. I can slide the one viewing end off and band the chicks and replace. The front of the nest and opening where the parents enter is not disturbed so the parents are none the wiser that the nest has been tampered with.... a must for flighty/abandoning species!

Here is what one pair of parrot finches did with this nest box...I scooted the nest out the back to band the chicks and then slid it back in without the parents noticing a twig out of place

What the entrance looks like once I carefully slide the nest out of the box

I open the back side and remove the chicks to band.

I then mend the small hole I made and slide the nest back in the box. All went undetected...even after close inspection by the returning parents.

Very nice Candice!
I didn't know parrot finches would use the box?
Now I'm thinking about trying it for my RCCB's?
What do you think?
Next breeding season maybe evan for the Cuban finches?
