Green singer set up!

Post by cindy » Mon May 16, 2011 6:32 pm

I decided to move my GSingers back to this larger cage. I redid the inside, lots of flying room and plants. The outside has black plastic mesh with ferns attached for privacy.

Now with lots of room and privacy....they need to fill the cage up with little ones!!

looks great =D> =D> =D> ... Can't tell from the picture, do you have an open type (canary) nest in there with them?.. Mine prefer them to the closed type finch nest...

I have an open one, it in the upper left top side to the left of the orchids. The female has been juming in and out of it...I also have a covered bamboo canary nest I could put in there to give them a choice. It is worth a try!!

I added a large bamboo canary nest os they have a choice. They are pretty tolerant and have calmed down quiet a bit. They just go to the other side of the cage and hang there whie I put the nest in. The male keeps checking it out but from a distance.

I lined the cup nest with felt and soft aspen chips, the covered nest is lined and Cozy comfort was added. What do you use for nesting material...I've tried little pieces of coco fiber, dried grasses, feathers from a REALLY nice pillow, fluff, sisal.

To make peace for disturbing them, I gave them mashed boiled egg.
