Let's hope this one turns out to be healthier
than the orange face hen?
I put them together and they are getting along great!
She is also very interested in the nest box.

Thanks,
It would have been nice to have orange and red head babies. :(
Who knows, one of them could be split for orange? [-o<

When I had java finches, I would occasionally get a chick of a differant colour.
My normal or black pair would always have one brown chick.
My silver pair would always have one or two whites.
So one never knows, what is in in the genetic make up.

You really never know what a Gouldian will give you these days!!....I have a OH PB Yellow male and a RH PB Yellow female....The two surviving chicks are, we think a RH hen but she is WB, so the pair are split to WB...The other chick is Silver, PB and we don't know head color yet....So my pair are PB/WB and Yellow split to blue to get the silver....I can't wait till next years breeding to see what I get!!

Interesting nest, can they see you watching them??
Not sure any of mine would go for that kind of nest but it's really cool that you can see them.
