Yeah! I'm glad they seem to be fine. I give them sprouted seeds almost daily (they just LOVE it), and they have their iodine blocks and cuttlefish bones available at all times. So far I'm not giving them any "extra supplements" as they seem to be doing very well. If sprouted seeds are so high in nutrients, they are getting plenty :-D

She's just beautiful!!! =D> =D> =P~ I'm usually not that crazy about the all yellow variety of gouldians, but she's really precious!
Walk-in aviary with Waxbills (6 Cordon Bleu, 3 Orange Cheek, 3 Black-rumped, 1 Lavender, ), 1 European Goldfinch, 4 Gouldians, 2 Spice Finches, 6 Owl Finches, 4 Budgies and 2 male Button Quail.
I also have 2 parrotlets, 3 dogs, 1 snake and 3 freshwater fishtanks.

she's finished her moult. Her back is not a true yellow. it has a sort of greenish hue, but her head is orange indeed :-)

do you really think she's pretty? I mean, I find her pretty indeed but I would find her pretty even if she was an "ugly gouldklin".
I'd need more of a "trained" eye and less of a "motherly" one to see her faults :-)

I do not see anything at all that sticks out as a fault to me - she'd totally be a keeper in my aviary :)

thank nixity. I was keeping her anyway, as she's my first yellow hen and I can't possibly part with her !
(I think this breeding thing is going to give me more than one headache! I'd love to keep them all :-(

well, I think her tail is not going to grow any longer, so I guess these are her definitive looks:

Do you think this cock would make a good husband to her? He might be split for blue (25% chance) I got him from a friend of mine who goes to "shows" and mostly breeds normals and blues

This pic I took on his first day in my only-males-aviary:

and this pic was sent to me by the breeder:

I suppose I wouldn't know whether he's split for blue until a 2nd generation or if I paired him with a blue hen (I like BH blues)
