Yes, Dad will continue to feed while Mom lays more eggs... get a clean one ready. Sometimes the chicks can try and get back in the nest and disturb Mom too much causing her to leave the incubation or egg breakage can happen. Most canry breeders use a divide cage so when the chicks get too rambunctious they can seperate the chicks via the wire. The chicks will be eating on their own but will still beg and be fed through the wire by Dad.
Continue to feed the nestling egg food to the chicks.. I usually gradually mix less and less as they eat more hard seed but I do contine to offer it until their feathers are fully grown...about 6 weeks for most. Then I offer it a few times a week as a treat, along with introducing more green foods and fruits(oranges and apples they love)

Here I go again with another question. When is the right time to use Scatt on the chicks? There is an a lot of itch'n and scratch'n going on in that nest.

They are sprouting new feathers which is an itchy time. Once they fledge they should partake in a bath which will do wonders for their itchies.
Do not treat with scatt. There is an age warning on the bottle... no bird under 6 months.
Scatt is mostly for air sac mites and not red mites or lice anyway.

Well here it is May 25th and the chicks are in and out of the nest. I have been watching them around their mom and she is sitting in a new nest laying eggs.
I noticed that if they get close she will start pecking at their head. She managed to yank out a couple of little feathers on one chick. Any suggestions????

I have a bath just like that one! Were they brave enough to take a dip? They are all so adorable! Especially the last photo. They look so cute taking a snooze! I'm so glad you posted new photos! By the way... Bandit is a really special looking little bird. You'll have to keep him won't you? =D>
