Cute birds!
I love the names "Peaches" and "Sherbert"! Very appropriate for these birds!!

Walk-in aviary with Waxbills (6 Cordon Bleu, 3 Orange Cheek, 3 Black-rumped, 1 Lavender, ), 1 European Goldfinch, 4 Gouldians, 2 Spice Finches, 6 Owl Finches, 4 Budgies and 2 male Button Quail.
I also have 2 parrotlets, 3 dogs, 1 snake and 3 freshwater fishtanks.

The Canary chicks are so pretty and Bandit is really special looking. You really got a nice mix of colors! Now I can see how Canary breeding can be addicting! No tossing worries. They feed the chicks with no problems. Yay, another successful clutch raised and independent.
I think I see a light color on your Zebra's cheek too. and your Society is adorable! My pied fawns don't have the dark top beak. Just horn colored. I like the black.

Hi Trish, All the different mutations these birds come in is really confussing.

That Zebra that shows a very slight cheek color doesn't sing much at least I have not heard him. The single male zebra I bought with the Spice finches sings all the time and doesn't seem to affect the other zebras. I continue to scratch my head..... Then there are the
spice finches chirping and one sings I think is soooooo low the only reason I say he is singing is see him go thru the movements. The part that frustrates me is not being able to sex the birds.....UGH!!!!!

Societies are just the cutest peeking out of a nest aren't they? I had to take the nest away from mine since I don't want anymore babies right now. I miss seeing them all peeking out at me.

So without the nest do they just sleep on perches?

Yea, they sit as close as they can together on a perch. All lined up. When I separate the boys and girls I'll put another nest back in for them to sleep in. I know they love it.
