Thank you! I really appreciate it. :D I sure hope Coco follows in Peep's footsteps. I did not see any undigested seed in his dropping today so that's either a good sign that the meds are working or a bad sign that he's not eating. I hope it's the meds working!! [-o<

So glad to hear peep is improving! Hopefully coco has a turn around also. Have you tried offering hard boiled egg mashed up? Might be soft enough that he would eat it and that would be a real good boost of protein and other goodies.
good luck

I'm very sad to report that Coco passed away last night. I know I tried everything I could to help him get better but sadly he was too far gone. I am very thankful for all the well wishes from everyone on the forum.

Though that news is sad, I am heartened to say that Peep continues to improve. Her droppings are no longer watery and her energy level continues to increase. I'm hoping for a full recovery for her.

So sorry about Coco :( At least you loved him and tried your best to save him. Sometimes we can't save them all but if Peeps is still improving, that is fabulous news! =D> Still [-o< -ing for Peep's continued recovery!

I am so sorry. :( I do know you tried your best. I am thrilled to hear Peep is improving, miracles do happen

In hindsight, I would like to offer this advice (advice, not critism  ) Whenever you by birds at the same time (from the same vendor/cage) and one begins to show sickness.. treat all that are in that cage. That way even if one bird isn't showing syptoms ..yet... you will get a head start on the medication process. This may have not helped the male in this case but if you have one sick, treat all because they have at least been exposed.
I think getting Peep on the antibiotics right away may have made the difference.

Thanks everyone. I apprecaite it.

Great news on Peep. I went home at lunch and found that her poops are nice and solid, brown, clumped properly, and not watery! She looks really good today actually. I'm so happy to see it. I will continue her on the antibiotics for a full 7 day treatment so we knock this thing. I will hopefully post some pics of her tonight. I'm so glad to see the improvements she's making. I trully thought she was a goner.
