My pied parrot finch just finished up a molt and he is almost completely yellow. Absolutely beautiful! The picture doesn't do justice... I have to get me a new camera soon!! :wink:

How old is he and how much lighter did he get with each molt?

I think he is almost two years old. Yes... ye got lighter each molt.
I think I am going to have to find him another girl. He just doesn't seem to be interested in the one I choose for him. :lol:

If Elvis has a black NFSS band then he is a year and half old (would have been born in Jan 10') if it is a gold NFSS band then he would be just a month older he would have been born in Dec 09', so really he isn't that old to be so yellow already but either way he is beautiful.

Walk-in aviary with Waxbills (6 Cordon Bleu, 3 Orange Cheek, 3 Black-rumped, 1 Lavender, ), 1 European Goldfinch, 4 Gouldians, 2 Spice Finches, 6 Owl Finches, 4 Budgies and 2 male Button Quail.
I also have 2 parrotlets, 3 dogs, 1 snake and 3 freshwater fishtanks.
