Cindy,
I would love two of your owls. I have a male and female not related and we really want to breed owls. I don't think we can get to Florida, Darn. :( As I'm typing, my son came and told me our owls have two eggs in the nest! Wow! How about timing? We'll see if they incubate or not. This is their first clutch.

First time parents are a it nervous...privacy, lots of grated egg before the chicks hatch to show the parents there is a food source and help them build up for feeding...keep it going (good advice from Sally which I took to heart and it works...Thanks Sally!). Good luck..keep us posted!

Cindy,
Thanks. I will make sure we do that. Now, to try and learn to handfeed better. We are losing our GS hatchling. I hear a click sound when it breathes and I think it aspirated on the last feeding.  :(

These are 4 of the 5 fledglings that are loud, very loud when begging (I'll video tape it later for you). The 5th fledgling is hiding, a little small yet...it looks like it is a few days behind the other but doing well.

These are related to the ones I will post later in Marketplace for sale.

Ok...the last sentence was to read..."I will try to get a picture later"...so much for spell check/cell phones.
