I also had a pair with first clutch, didnt see much food in their crops the first few days but then it added up
But it's better to be safe than sorry, so it is a good idea to at least get a handfeeding formula and read on the topic. I once had to handfeed but the single mother still sat on them so I just got them out to eat and then put them inside again.
. I went on Kijiji right after reading the post on making a brooder and found a Prince Lionheart Baby Wipes Warmer. I am going to pick it up later today. Like I said in an earlier post I also ordered the pipettes and syringes. My local pet store does not sell bird feeding formula. 
So now I am looking online for that.
