and for next breeding season can i decide to breed them with new mates? Or its difficult to seperate them?

If you keep them separate, out of sight and sound. You may be able to try new mates. Otherwise I have noticed that all of my pairings end up choosing each other.

Switching mates may or may not work. I was NOT successful when I tried to switch mates on a hen. She refused the 2 males that I paired with her, chasing them away from HER nest. When I finally put her old mate with her she settled down.

Not that you can't pick mates for gouldians but I believe you have a much higher success rate when they pick their own mate.
