Just picked up new Desert Finch.
Sorrry about the quality of the pictures
they were done with my cell phone.
It's going to take a few weeks for him to settle in.
He won't stay still..lol

Any info you can share with me would be much apreciated.
Everything I read on the net is written by observers in the wild.
I am have trouble locating info about them from breeders and people
that just have them for fun.
Do they like sunflower seeds?
What seeds do they prefer?
Any greens that they may like?
Thank you,
Jerry

Very nice bird Jerry! Love the pink on the wings. Is it just the picture or does the bird have a fairly dark face mask? Are you gonna find him/her a mate?

Thank you for the information.
At least now I know they like apples.
I will give him some today.
I tried some greens and he wouldn't touch it.
I named him "KHAN" since he is from Asia and area.

He does like the egg food.
Also I put a lamp on top of the cage and that has
settled him down.

Khazikstan or Afghanistan.
