Ahh. so if pellets are mostly the colored food my finches won't eat any. I always have a cup full of hulls and colored "pellets".

I feed mine mainly seed with millet as a treat. but I also add parsley carrots red leaf or romaine lettuce apples pretty much as variety so that they get a chance to eat greens. I also have a cockatiel and she is soooo funny if i give the finches a treat and i dont give her one right away she fusses at me or she will fly to the top of their cage and pick thru the bars to get the millet or salad.
