When I placed all my nesting material into the nest and some on the floor it was the funnest thing I had ever seen. My female gould went in and with her head and strength she pushed it all out onto the floor. It took her a long time. Then she and he rebult it. They wer molding it to their bodies so much that i thought the nest would fall off the edge of the cage....it shock and shock like there were 10 birds in there. She finally got it the way she liked it. Then about 5 or so days later the first egg came along.
The material they didn't want or use I left at the bottom of the cage for a few extra days but I didn't want them to place more on top of eggs so I took it out.

just to update this since i have been talking about her in a new thread she started to regrow feather
im not sure if the mineral supl i started putting in the water help or if it was just her time to regrow but she is
i was putting vimtan supl in the water but that never did anything as far as her feathers go, not until two week after the mineral supl did i see any change
i had just ordered feather up that friday and i notice the regrowth on sunday night, i thought it was dirt on her back. then the FU was delivered on monday and i took a closer look at her and came here and read around about new feather and saw pin feather so i searched for pic of pin feather and when i took a better look at her sure enough there were pin feather on her back and on her head.
so i guess the answer to the title of the thread is no my bird is not gonna die
thank you all for your help see you in the breeding time thread hopefully with new of chick
