Here is a question for all you experts..... Now that Zilas chicks have fledged should I remove their nest?

I am, by no means, an expert, as I've only had one clutch. But in my case, I did remove the nest, because my pair were trying immediately to start a new clutch and were showing some aggression toward the chicks. Even if you do want them to start a new clutch, it's a good idea to let them wean these guys first and then give them a clean nest.

The chicks are in the nest right now and no sign of mom or dad getting aggressive yet. I will keep an eye on them and perhaps in a few days I will remove the nest since they have only fledged 2days ago. Thanks

I forgot to mention also, some advice I was given when my first clutch fledged- when you do remove the nest, try to do it in the morning, so they have time to adjust to it not being there and to figure out where they will spend the night, etc.

I always remove the nest because they do't need it any more and as nelloyello11 said, the parent can start a new clutch and be agressive toward the chicks.
