New pair of Lavendars
Friday night I received a pm from a lady that posted on one of my threads. She needed to rehome a pair of shaft tails, a pair of lavendars and a pair of societies. She did not want to run an ad but asked me if I would like them. She wanted to make sure they went to a good home since they were moving across the country and could not take them with them.
We met them halfway on Saturday and the birds plus a little white female parakeet came to live with us.
The lavendars have a soft gently song...they are stunning little birds.

Nice
I love lavendars, they have an understated beauty that captivates me. Great that she contacted a bird lover, nothing is worse than having to rehome pets.

Re: New pair of Lavendars
Sally, so far they are very neat, very quiet birds. The song bits you sent me helped me tell at least one is male. I believe the other is female, but time will tell. Thank you again!

Re: New pair of Lavendars
I have not heard my lavenders sing yet, but they are so striking and I love to watch them. I can't tell the male from the female either and since I can't hear the singing over all the other finches songs, I don't know which is which. LOL.

Re: New pair of Lavendars
I am a big fan of Lavendars. They are on my short list of "wants".
I just got some Goldbreast's, Shaftails, and Fires this past weekend which I really wanted. Lavendars and Parrot finches are next.
