that is unusual....someone here made reference to a triangle tear not to long ago but yours is a bit different. What does the pattern on the tail and back look like?

I can't see it very clearly because of the off focus, but I have had birds with triangle tear marks that are split for black cheek. They sometimes change when they molt.

Will try and get a better pic later and look at the tail
I dont think it is split for BC, the mum is pied/split for white(she is pure white with a grey patch on head) and the dad is Fawn CFW(not sure if he is split for anything)
This is the first time I have bred these two together and they have given me some gorgeous chicks, one is pure white, another is CFW with some light specks on the wings, along with this guy and one that looks like will be a normal zeb
Hope this guy does not loose the tear marks as they are cute

Oh my that is a really beautiful clutch!
Funny how the tear mark bleeds into the white, though I think it is because he is split for BC.

The "CFW" bird look like a FF/Isabel, or maybe some mix of OB?

Well I'm sure Vargur will show up here and shed some light on your birds ;)

thanks Cindy yes that is like worzel (that's what I call the dad)
well now I know what he is

If the tear mark on chick is caused by BC then it must be from the grandparents

Here you said: "normal male"
http://i603.photobucket.com/albums/tt11 ... dom045.jpg
what do you mean by that? (just curious)
Looks like he might be another Isabel?
But his cheeks look so orange! #-o
maybe he is split BB, I am not sure..
I would like to see another photo :)

The normal grey one, looks like a normal grey.
when he molts I think the tearmark is gonna be normal looking.

All those young 'uns came from the same clutch? Wow, you certainly have quite the variety going on there. Beautiful birds. From what I can see Mom looks like a CFW, but Dad has something more going on. Just as Cindy noted, he has the qualities of a Phaeo, but I'm not aware of the FF mutation making it's way across the pond. My guess would be Isabel with BF or BB. Since the flecking pattern on your male seems uneven, I'd have to guess that Pied is involved somehow as well. And yes it looks like there is some BC popping up in the kids. Keep your eye on the white chick, could end up being an Isabel hen. Also agree with Vargur that your "normal" seems on the light side and probably has some isabel in him as well.
