Female gouldian Bianca laid 2 eggs 4 days ago... neither her nor the male have been sitting on them. If they aren't going to sit on them, can I take them out and place them with a pair of societies? These societies haven't raised babies before, and aren't currently sitting on eggs, but what I'm hoping to do is put the eggs with the societies in their own cage, and see if they'll sit on them? Anyone had any success with this?
Any info is appreciated.!

Re: Gouldian Eggs
I would not move the eggs until 7 days after they were laid. That is typically when the hens will be finished laying a complete clutch and start sitting tight.

Re: Gouldian Eggs
You should prep the societies by putting in one fake egg a day, until you reach 6. This gets them used to egg and to start to sit. Some birds will freak out if you suddenly put a bunch of eggs into their nest, 0 to 5 instantly.
And then the won't sit. Others will quickly get over their shock and start to sit. But it is better to gradually add the eggs, so you don't risk freaking them out.
