Congratulations on your new birds! You are correct; these are two males -- one pied, and the other a chestnut flanked white (CFW).

They are both beautiful and adorable. The hay grass is not really for eating, but rather for nest building. I notice Petsmart provides the hay grass for their finch and canaries; probably something to play with and to hone their nest building skills. Apart from what you have, I would provide some sort of calcium suppliment -- whether it be a cuttlebone or some crushed oyster shell. The zebras will appreciate small portions of greens -- such as broccoli, romaine lettuce, kale, collard greens, etc. Mine love chopped egg and a piece of apple once in a while as a treat. If you have any questions, feel free to ask away. We are so delighted to have you here with these two beautiful finches.
God is my redeemer and it is through Him I have found eternal happiness. I am grateful, I am blessed, and I am truly loved. I wish all this and more for all members of our finch forum family. May you all be blessed and highly favored.

Thanks so much for all your kind words

I love them & they are so energetic. For right now they are in a 24" flightcage & I added the cuttlebone
I know I was walking past the birds at petsmart on my way to look at pellets for my conures and I saw them flying about in their cage with normal looking male zebra's and that is when they found their way into my heart
I am working a some names... I will post them soon

They are very sweet! They might like to eat some chopped celery leaves or other greens. Mine devour greens when I feed them.

Hey're very pretty. I wish my Petsmart sold the hay grass. They have it in the cages with the birds, but they don't sell it. Personally, my birds' favorite foods are crushed hard boiled egg with the shell, all natural sugar free applesauce, napa cabbage and corn.

They are beautiful, congrats on them!
Its better for their small feet if you put newspaper
on the floor for them,
so they dont need to stand on the bare cage floor.
Good luck with them
