I have a black headed, light purple breasted gouldian, normal green back that hatched in February. Its beak has no black but has a red tip.
From the description; can anyone tell if that is a female? I didn't think females had red in their beaks since both of my mature females have black beaks.,

Re: sexing gouldian?
Black beaks on Gouldians simply indicate that the hens are in breeding condition/season. A photo would definitely help. The amount of red on the beak could be the determining factor.
