What do you guys do to protect the floor??
I had NEW carpet installed 8 weeks ago in my bird room, Wish id have done tile, but hubby wasnt playing along, lol
I cut the extra carpet to fit under the fronts of each bird cage that gets real messy Sun conure, and sun conure and ya get the idea, lol
But well It sabout time to toss those pieces of carpet allready and I desperatly need new ideas for something that looks nice to save the carpet.
I though tof plastic but yea UGLY so any ideas?? wanna share your carpet floor saving tips???

What about the coroplast idea? A 4x8 sheet is not expensive and you can cut the size you need. Available at home hardward stores.

Or get a piece of leftover vinyl flooring?
I like a firm plastic, ie the vinyl or coroplast, I find it easier to wash off.

I have alway vaccumed and last year we got one of those "Top consumer" vaccumes from Sears. Thing works great. It's a bagless so I can see what come up in the container....well...I could start a seed shop from what gets thrown around the place.
This is one reason I want some of the seed hoppers that were recommended and some of the plexiglass for the sides around the cups.

Well the sun conures seriously FLING pooh everynight out the bars, lol I think they sit on the front of the cage to do this, lol
so Its LARGE pooh and if ya vacumm it it wouls smooch all over the carpet, lol iv etried waiting till dried and its like HOOKed to the carpet,
the one cage is 6 feet long so it has to be something lONGGGGGGGGGG and I dont want to have to move it when i vacuum each day Im lazy, lol
