im gunna keep my birds in a shed during winter how ever what type of lights should i be using also how do i stop them from burning them self on it i was thinking of using a UV 10.0 strip light or a UV 10.0 build what do u think? do i even need a UV light or is just a normal one okay they will have 1 window but i dont know how much light it will let in

The light should be a full spectrum UVB light. I set mine on top of the cages, but in a shed, you may need to put a protective mesh or something around the lights.

I keep my birds in a "shed" during the cold winters here in NJ. It has a window that's about 30 inches wide and that's all I have as far as light out there. I don't go inside the shed after dusk nor before dawn so that I don't disturb them roosting so there was no need for any lights.
