Hi all...

Are any of you in or around Ocala, Florida? I'm looking for a Blue breasted Gouldian and a Green and Yellow double frill Canary. If anyone knows of anyone in or around my area, please let me know.

By Blue breasted Gouldian I assume ya mean just a blue Gouldian??

Is there just a blue gould? I thought the breast was always a different color?

No, this is actually a blue breasted (not blue back). I saw one on the following site:

Never heard of a blue breasted, could be a mutation does it actually SAY hes a Blue breasted? could be off camera color. Ill go look later, No time right now sorry,

The website list them as PB but all the pictures (near and far) they look Blue. I also asked the breeders at a recent show and they say they've heard of them but don't raise them.

There are only a couple of people in the US with known blue breasted Goulds. This is a very rare mutation. This is one bird you will probably have a very difficult time getting. I do not think the genetics behind the mutation have been figured out enough yet fot more people to breed for it.

Thank you soooo much for your post (and link). I was beginning to think I was either crazy or that I should believe it was how the picture was taken and that it was actually a PB. So glad to hear a true BB is out there somewhere!!
