Re: Unusual tear marks?
thanks vargur, by normal I mean just a normal male zeb, the type that is considered normal not any mutation, but as you can tell I am still getting grips with all the mutations, will gave to look up "Isabel" mutation when I get home and compare it.
Nagadabit, yep all from same clutch, imagine my surprise when I first looked in as they were getting feathers and all looked so different from each other!!
if one is split for BC I may place each with a BC full next year see what happens

Re: Unusual tear marks?
OK, i was just wondering because, when I say someone is "normal" (zebra finch)by normal I mean just a normal male zeb, the type that is considered normal not any mutation, but as you can tell I am still getting grips with all the mutations
I always think of the color "normal grey"
and the bird in your photo "normal male"
is not normal grey... it made me a bit confused.. thats all.
Because he look like he is Isabel

And I would like to see another photo of him, if you can, please

I agree that the triangle is probably caused by bc genes from his parents or grandparents, but he's extremely adorable no matter what!

What a little cutie...I love the soft colors. The tail looks like it has hardly no bars, I can see faint lines on the tail feathers. The lacing on the wings is very pretty.

yes both tails are almost pure white, with just a faint orange triangle, be interesting to see what they look like after their molt

Re: Unusual tear marks?
just a quick update, the zeb has not lost his triangle after his malt
Not the best pic,I was moving him into the flight cage and did not want to stress him out more

But the triangle is still there
As for the other siblings, unfortantly the white one was one I lost
,but the other two are gorgeous, will try get pictures later, very faint cheek patches and patterns

Now in creating a phaeo does the male have to be a BB and the female a FF or visa versa. New to this. I have FF males and females.
