Unusual tear marks?

Yes very similar cindy, has your fellow any phaeo in him?
Am thinking that the tear marks are due to a mix of phaeo and BC gene's, may have to try that sometime and see what happens

Toby, I have no idea exactly thefull background except his great great grandmother is a female gray and a normal lightback John sent me. The give me FSilvers, Isabel and normals/split to fawn, fawns. The little guys dad has an hour glass pattern on the tail. His mom has a argyle type pattern (She the great grandaughter to the pair John sent me) I have a beautiful young female FF that is the same age to pair him with....his one cheek patch is very wide. We need to watch our two to what they develop into.

Yep will have to watch them closly.
Gona try the dad of this one which is a phaeo with a BC hen,see if that replicates the tear marks

Do'nt you love experimenting with mutations...I think that is why my collection of zebras grew!!!! :wink: :wink: Uh huh...yup that is the reason!!!

This is just my 2nd year of breeding,and 1st time i getting to grips with mutations etc, my collection grew because i cant resist buying finch when i see them #-o

Some of the mutations are really interesting. How can you not want one or more of them? :D :D
