Sounds like you need another hen, and maybe a different male for the hen you already have?? That would my choice, as I love adding finches, just not anymore room at my house. LOL.

I have room but I don't need more than 1 pair of something that probably is never going to breed anyway. If they were good breeders I'd definitely get another pair so I could sell unrelated pairs.

Have you had them in with breeding pairs of Melba Finches? Perhaps she wont show any interest unless she has somewhere to deposit her eggs.

Yes! Beautifull bird! But noone noticed hiscage mates? I love the cut-throats and the white java! Very Interesting mix! Good luck with all the birds! Spectacular picture!

Yes I had a pair of melbas in the flight with them. I lost the melbas last winter and have not replaced them. I do have a pair of Orange wing pytillas but not sure if they will lay in their nest.
