Fortunately, three of four in sick bay are back in the aviary. My diamond firetail hen went out after 7 days of baytril, including the previous treatments for coccidosis and a follow-up with Ronivet and Amtyl. She became fluffy, so I brought her back in. She is still a little fluffy, ruffled, and I am giving probiotics.
One queer thing is that her head feathers appear wet. (It has been VERY hot-but no panting or wings held away from body.) Droppings are relatively normal (little dry, although yesterday her vent was yellow...no solid matter.) She is very active and talking..eating lots of millet (want her to put on weight.)
So, I'm still guarded.

Where the feathers on the head wet around the nostrils...could she have had a sinus infestion, rubbed her beak, head on the perch spreading the discharge? Hope she gets better real soon. Glad the others improved and are able to go back out to the flight.

Yea, and the wierd thing is that she has a crusty black stuff on her beak...drainage? It is a thin layer..maybe she wiped the sides off and it's what is left. Her eyes are wet too. Geez, I feel helpless.
