New Flight Cage

Post by birdclaws » Sun Sep 11, 2011 10:07 pm

I wouldn't consider myself to be the best handyman, but after a long couple weeks of being busy and dealing with power outages from Irene, I finally put together something better for the birds. It measures 5 x 3 x 2 plus the bonus room on top. I hinged old photo frames with wire for doors on the side. The bottom is made of two layers of coroplast. Haven't decided if I want to paint it yet, was unsure of what would be safe or not. I'm guessing tempera paint?

Great idea for the top section and I agree, the finches will love it if you put nests up there. Show us pics when the birds are inside. Cool.

Wow!
That looks great! Great idea with the picture frames as doors... I might steal that idea for my next cage

Really nice and roomy! Your birds will get lots of exercise flying back and forth! =D> My birds are jealous of your two story mansion! :D
