Mimicking?

Post by Albinosilver » Sun Sep 25, 2011 12:40 pm

Do any of your finches mimic the songs of other birds?

I was listening closely to my green singer's song this morning and realized that he had included a tiny bit of a society finch's song in his. It was really cool~

He has lived in a cage right next door to the societies his entire life, and now that they're gone (Sold em all) he has started singing their songs.

I had a canary years ago that mimicked the beeping of my microwave. It was so cute!

a zebra that was left w his foster parents (societies) too long.
He called and sang like a society finch. None of the other zebras recognized his call or song.
