Ok...I am going out on a limb here...it has been a couple o days, maybe more since you noticed this.

This is merely a suggestion to try....this is something I did with my lovebird that was eggbound, I ended up taing her to the vet but prior and ater I did this and it seemed to let some of the pressure out so she could relax to pass the egg.

Sometimes the egg can block the dropping from passing completely, this is what I did for my lovebird when she was eggbound. I held her gently and ran a gentle stream of warm water over the vent area, do not hold her on her back hold her upright. The warm water relaxed her enough to pass a very large amount of stool as the water was running over her vent. Then I placed her back into a warm cage, she passed the egg shortly afterwards. Lovebirds are a bit sturdier and calmer than green singers but it could be she is unable to pass both the egg and the droppings completely since the egg is so far down that you can feel it.

I let the warm water run over her vent, as it did large amounts of stool passed and the swelling effect went down enough. She was passing droppings prior but there was more up inside that caused her to bloat some.

It is a suggestion to try, it is up to you. Just be gentle in holding her.

Also sometimes birds did develope adhesions that hold tight to the egg and her insides preventing it from passing, no matter how she tries she may not be able to pass it. Keep a close eye on her, you may need a vet to help remove the egg.

Poor girl... I think Cindy's suggestion is a great idea.

If you try it let us know how it goes.

Anna, it was surprising what came out of my lovebird, she was leaving the larger droppings females do when they sit but when I ran the warm water over her lower somackh and vent a mass of droppings kept coming out. it must have relieved some of the pressure some. She relaxed enough to pass the egg.

You need to give her calcium in her water and to her beak to help strengthen her muscles to push the egg out.

I hope you tried the warm water and it helped!!! That is an amazing story! Also online there are videos on how to help your bird pass an egg. It looks so scary! You're being very brave for your little girl Rancel! I've been thinking about her all day and hoping she's better!!!! [-o<

Oh :( I was thinking maybe tumor but didn't want to say anything. You did everything you possibly could so don't feel like you didn't do enough. Sometimes nature isn't kind. I hope she gets better and is just fat. [-o<

It could be an oviduct tumor. It also crossed my mine a bit ago since she was not readily passing an egg and days went by.

It is very hard to say what that is, could be fat, could be an obstruction.

Rancel, if she's fat you should be able to see it elsewhere as well. If you blow back the feathers off her belly and see streaks of yellowish fat crossing her abdomen she is probably a bit chubby.

If not, she may have something else like the tumour.

If she is fat it is an easy fix, if it is the other there is not a whole lot you can do and if she is eating well and active that is a big plus -- she may still be able to have a pretty good and long life --

Finches can be a huge challenge at times but keep your chin up.

Hoping for the best! :)
