Got new birds today

Post by ranchnanny » Wed Oct 19, 2011 1:52 pm

Picked up 4 new birds this morning my long awaited Cordon Bleu's which are a pair the other two are two beautiful crested canaries. Their coloring is so beautiful.
I purchased them right here on the Ranch from a gal I know. I paid $75 for the CB's pair and the canaries were $45 each.

That red cheeked male is awesome! Looks like he has a good personality, too.

Crested anything is so wicked cute!

Enjoy! :)

I was told by the owner that they are American Stafford. Looks like they have Gloster in there somewhere. The Red Crested has bright yellow coloring mixed in with the very bright orange/red. Both were born in May of this year and both males. The red male is called Mohawk cause he has a double crest which looks like a mohawk and the yellow crested is Uno cause he was the only chick to survive from that clutch.
