John...I think there are some definate hidden genes in you zebra collection!!! And that my friend is a good thing!!!!! :D :D :D

John, can you post a picture of the mom, wasn't she the one we thought looked like a fawn penguin....look at Ameza'a zebra named Gullbra. she reminds me of the mom a bit.

Zebras are the best. They are really my favorite finch along with the goulds.

John, they are mine to...and I have you to thank for getting me back into them!!! Patches and Cleo are still with me and have a lovely cage all to themselves. A majority of of some of their offspring have some part to play in some of the mutations I have. They have good genes!!! :D :D :D

Yup female BB's can resable female penguins.
And there is actually a pretty easy way to figure out wich is wich.

What does her tail feathers look like? Are they wholly white with no bars? (but fawn feathers underneath) If so she is BB. If not she is probably penguin :)

Btw, she has much whiter belly than my fawn BB, so if she is BB I would wonder if she is LB fawn BB or something.

BB!!!!!! I knew you had to have BB in your floc, Patches dropped a split to BB tail feather!

just be careful,
when you breed them,
do not breed FC to FC,
you have to breed FC to non FC bird.
