Thanks Cindy! And I have a single factor florida fancy! 0/3 way there. D: I really need more birds! I can't wait to see what my little ones produce. And one question, my male doesn't have a straight across bar, it more of a big blob. What does the mean? He also sings raspy and high pitched, took me by surprise because he didn't sound like any of my other zebras. He also is smaller by a little bit compared to the hen. I immediatly thought timor split to normal, but then I was like no way I have a timor

Dante, the male song can vary some...young zebras can sound raspy until they get older...I call it "finding their voice". I have one adult that has a different call, it sounds more like honking.

"Timor Zebra males have a smaller breast bar and the throat stripes are nearly gone compared to Australian Zebras (T. guttata castanotis). Between the beak and throat, the stripes are completely missing. The voice of the Timor is also much higher and the song is more rapid than the Australian Zebra. They are also generally smaller than their Australian cousins, but since the Australian Zebra is so variable in size due to selective breeding for the show bench, it is difficult to use this as a form of comparison. Some Australian Zebras are as small as a Timor Zebra. The Timor is approximately 10.5 grams."

I am in love with your bird Almos! How and where did you find him? I have never seen one in person or heard of somebody wh has around here.

probably the only one of his kind here in Iceland!
So I was lucky to have him!
You will need OB BB BF bird and pair them together..
or OB BB and OB BB BF..
or OB BB and BF split OB BB.
OB and BB is recessive but BF is dominant.

I am getting so confused by these genetics again. They usually have color mutations I've never seen at the petsmart around here, but I don't like buying from them, I have bought my florida silver from there though, and PetCo used to have a room full of finches with all different zebra colors, but they are horrible! Almos is an amazing bird! Hopefully you get more!

OK I decided that I will look for an OB male to mate w my BF hen.

But I have a question that the pix have confused me on. Is the orange a real orange, or is it the brown color of the cheek or flank feathers? Some of the pix look orange, others look brown.

Now I really need to rehome that male penguin zebra. It is occupying my breeding cage.

This birdmart was a bust.
I could not find any OBs.

But maybe that was good. An OB would keep me spending time and effort on the zebras, and less attention to the gouldians.
